After several years of planning and a couple of years constructing (house then studio), the end of the messy part of this project is OVER! No more gypsum dust literally everywhere. No more fiberglass. No more revolving door of trucks, shipments, contractors and people. We are overjoyed to figure out what our new normal is. While I still have a hundred things to do for the studio to be completed (not the least of which are the acoustic measurements and treatments for the walls/ceilings - right Sam?), we can at least get back to writing, recording, producing and, at some point, mixing music. As previous mentioned, music is therapeutic to me and I've been without it for two years due to logistics and construction.

It's an interesting and busy time of year. In the next 90 days or so and, in addition to all of the work we still need to do in the studio, Marie and I have some travel for important family business coming up, an opening party to plan for the studio (Nov 8 for anybody reading this that can attend!) a cousin's wedding to attend and a granddaughter arriving (not necessarily in that order)! While overwhelming, it is very exciting and we look forward to hopefully seeing many of you reading this soon.

We shot a walk through video to give you an idea of how the construction turned out. It doesn't really do the space justice, but here it is anyway.

The control room still needs a lot of work with regard to connecting the remainder of my outboard gear. I am extremely relieved that our large analog console survived the multiple moves and storage period and is 100% up and running. Seeing all of the pieces come together and a vision that has lingered for a long time come to life feels like a major accomplishment for Marie and I. It's the beginning of the road and we have lofty goals for the music that will be produced here. Please help us spread the word. We will be doing some press before the year is out and several of our existing vendors will be helping us in that department. Marie and I will also be at NAMM (as usual) in January and will be spreading the word there throughout our network. Word of mouth is everything.

Here are a few still pics of the space.

OK, that's all for now. If any of you want to attend our get together on Nov 8 please reach out to me or Marie at jim@timbercanyonstudios.com or marie@timbercanyonstudios.com

Thanks for reading and helping to spread the word.

Best Regards from Wyoming,

Jim
