Happy new year to all of my friends, clients and future clients! I'm looking forward to all of the good stuff to come in the new year.
First up - The latest release from my band Soul Rash will be released on January 13th (yes, Friday the 13th). Please check us out and stream it on your favorite streaming service and share it if you like it! Just scan the QR code to get there!
Second - I couldn't wait to remodel/rearrange the studio but waited patiently until the Soul Rash project was wrapped up. I didn't dare change a thing until I knew we were done and the project was mastered and sent to the distributor. For those of you that have been here before, I now have the control room setup in a very large space for several reasons, not the least of which is it is where we spend most of our time and is much more pleasant to be in for long period of time. The old control room now becomes a second recording/isolation room and the two rooms together have line of sight to each other and will be suitable for recording a 5 piece ensemble with ease.
Third - I'm very much looking forward to attending a workshop at the end of January at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. This is a follow up to the workshop I attended at Capitol Studios several years ago and is hosted by the same group of mentors - Metalliance. Great people, great hang and lots of great mojo and tips on recording and mixing.
